This is an iconic vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche jewel tone color block jacket and skirt suit. This fabulous vintage wool suit was look 23 in Saint Laurent's famous Autumn/Winter 1988/89 runway show.

The boxy, collarless blazer style jacket is made with many of the familiar YSL elements. It is constructed with geometric color block panels in shades of teal, magenta, green, and blue. This great jacket has the familiar YSL faceted black buttons and signature black silk ribbed ribbon that trims the cuffs and outlines the color block pattern. The shoulders are nicely structured with shoulder pads and the suit is fully lined.

We love that this suit comes with two pencil skirts in two of the coordinating colors found in the jacket. One is a rich, deep green and the other is a dusty blue! You can make the suit more of a Fall/Winter look or a Spring/Summer look depending on the skirt you decide to wear! Both skirts have side slit pockets and close with a side metal zipper and a button.

Excellent condition - The suit appears to have been barely worn and still has an extra button in the seam.

This was made in France and the jacket is labeled a FR 38, and both skirts are labeled FR 40. We estimate this would best fit a modern S/M.
